This was featured in theNest.com newsletter I receive periodically. I haven’t made it yet, but I’ve improvised something very similar in past years. I’m substituting honey for the sugar the original recipe calls for. I can’t wait to try it next week!
1 lb. fresh cranberries
1-2 c honey
1/2 c water
1 cinnamon stick
juice of 2 oranges
1/2 tsp allspice
orange [...]

Got this recipe from the squash display at the grocery store. I didn’t follow the recipe exactly, so here’s my adaptation. It’s still fairly high in fat, so I use it more for a special occasion type dish. But, a good way to work a vegetable in to that special occasion. I love it, and [...]

Never tried making this before, but I decided on the first time to try it with soy yogurt… I sort of followed the recipe on the box of the Fantastic World Foods brand falafel mix.
1 pint yogurt (I used a 24-oz package of soy yogurt–can’t remember the brand)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cucumber, finely diced
dill to [...]

This is an original, so I don’t have a precise recipe with exact measurements. I have a general way of making it, so it’s about the same every time. Here are the ingredients I use…
1 tbsp olive oil
1 whole onion
a couple of cloves of crushed garlic
tomatoes–canned, fresh, or a combination of the two. Most often [...]
