This recipe came from a friend who I think created it herself. It’s pretty healthy and very tasty.
For the crust:
1 c almond meal
1 c oat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c fruit juice (orange works well)

I sort of made this up, and didn’t measure.
4 apples (I used Golden Delicious)
raw walnuts, finely chopped
raisins
cinnamon
drizzle of agave nectar
tiny pat of margarine

These are soooo good! The original recipe, from Depression, The Way Out by Neil Nedley, M.D., calls for carob chips, but I’m not crazy about carob. They make about the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. This time though I made them with dates.
